1. Taxus media plantation for raw material supply
Since 2002 the manufacturer started plant taxus in a plateau area at altitude 1200-1244m in China. By the year of 2008, it had invested $18 million, cultivated 3,550,000 Taxus trees. The content of paclitaxel is range between 0.04-0.045%. By 2010, the taxus woods can supply 2000 MT dried biomass media for producing paclitaxel 800 kg (≥99.5%). The product output will reach 1200 kg by 2014.
2. Production Capability
The manufacturer can process biomass 500 MT, and produce 4 MT paclitaxel of 6% per year.
It can process 40 MT of 6% paclitaxel extract up to ≥70% per year.
Intermediate procession from puriety 70% - 90%.
The refining facilities process ≥99.5% paclitaxel API 1000-1200 kg annually.
